Liberty in the Garden

Liberty Garden PartyLiberty Garden Party

I have been hoarding this Liberty quilting cotton for some time. I have been trying to be good and use what I have (which I have to say is really, really hard). Apparently I hoard the pictures too (haha) – no really, clearly from the presence of lilacs in the background, I took these photos a while ago and forgot to post them. 🙂

Liberty Garden PartyThis is the Garden Party dress by Oliver + S. I love making any pattern they make. I made another garden party dress last spring as well. You can read about it here.

I love the simplicity of this pattern, but the little details too. Like the sleeves 🙂 and the simple closure in the back and the gathers in the front and that I can sew one up in just a couple hrs (or less).

This young lady has been growing fast. I’ll have to sew some more dresses soon. 🙂 Any favorite kids’ dress patterns? Share in the comments, I’d love to hear from you.
