I love using up scraps! I thought it would be fun to use up some larger scraps on travel-sized pillows for the kiddos. Each pillow uses scraps from dresses, backpacks, bags, shirts or something I have previously made for them. They loved recognizing the fabric.
The pillow inserts are travel sized pillows that we took with us on our last vacation. So those little pillows have traveled to lots (15) of states this past summer. I think they are looking forward to taking them with us on future travels.
The details: Each pillow is approx. 16″ x 20″. The exterior is slightly larger than the pillow form, but it makes for a much more comfy pillow to snuggle into. The tops are quilted (a bit) and they have invisible zipper closures on the sides so I can wash the outside easily.
On the back I used one fat quarter of fabric to make it simple. Some cute little bears.
And some pretty pink piggies.
UPDATE:: The bear and pig fabrics are both from Get Together by David Walker for Free Spirit.
love the way you put the fabrics together for the pillows!
And OMG, I love that bear fabric…and my daughter loves the pigs.
Who made it, please?
