My sister loves to read and she frequently walks to the library to check out books. For her birthday I wanted to make her a cute little tote to carry her books in. I used the Gift Bag Tote tutorial for this one. It’s a good size to carry home a few good novels and maybe a few CDs. I also added a small pocket on the inside, just the right size for her library card and keys.
The book print is from David Textiles’ Victoria and Albert Museum Collection. The yellow is Kona in buttercup (my favorite of their yellows).
I filled the tote with some yarn since my sister loves to crochet, some fun earrings and a pair of crazy soft socks. My sister loved the book print, the sturdy handles and that when it gets dirty, she can throw it in the wash!
