I love LOVE love how this little dress turned out.
It’s a perfect little Parisian dress. It was a very simple pattern and quick to make.
It has a simple button closure in the back.
You may remember this fabric from a previous project I did. I loved the combination of the red fabric with the Matisse inspired “Joy of Life” fabric from Alexander Henry.
In honor of Matisse (and this dress) we took a little trip to the art museum (Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, or MIA). It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon on a rainy day. Now it’s a snowy day and I’m inside blogging instead of going out to face the 5″ of snow waiting for me on my driveway.
Gwyneth taking time to admire an original Matisse!
And a little van Gogh. . .
So with the perfect little french dress, all she needs now is a ticket to Paris so she can wander the galleries of the Musée du Louvre, Musée d’Orsay (my personal favorite), and the Musée de l’Orangerie.
. . . . Well, until then, she can continue to wonder the galleries (at MIA) a little closer to home.
So lovely and the model looks pretty terrific too.
Very cute (both the little one and the dress!)
