Knitting is one of my favorite ways to relax. I love the simple repetition of stitches – I can get lost in them. It is soothing and relaxing. I think that’s why I always choose simple knitting projects – ones that I don’t really need to think about. My fingers just move almost instinctively.
This cowl was very fun to knit. I used 5 shades of fingerling weight merino wool and it is so soft. It was a very interesting stitch to learn – despite the fine yarn weight, you use a large (size 11) needle and still get a tight stitch that has a soft loose feel to it.
