Spring Top Entry

 
Here’s my entry for Spring Top Week! Sorry, I’m very camera shy so I’m not in the photo. It does fit rather nicely (but you’ll just have to take my word for it). 🙂 I found the soft cotton fabric at Jo-Ann’s (sorry I don’t know the designer). I really liked the print and it made me think of warm sunny days in the garden playing with my kids. The pattern came from Simplicity 3750. I thought the pattern was very easy. I really liked the gathered front. I would use the pattern again.
When my two-year-old saw it she said, “Mommy is that for me? It’s beautiful.” Perhaps I’ll make her a dress from the scraps, but I definitely want to make a gathered clutch. Wouldn’t that just be beautiful in the floral and green fabric? I’m so excited to make it! I think it will me my mother’s day present to me!
