I’m pleased to announce my latest quilt pattern is here and it’s FREE!
The Doodle quilt is a fun, modern and simple quilt designed to give you 16 small canvases to practice your free motion quilting (FMQ) on (or doodling). The blocks are created organically for ease and speed and the top comes together so fast.
I originally made this quilt for a Minneapolis Modern Quilt guild challenge using Monaluna fabric. The challenge was to “challenge yourself” and use some Monaluna fabric. My challenge to myself was to practice and learn new FMQ designs.
I can’t tell you how many times I work on an elaborate or quilt that I really love only to do simple quilting in the end. I designed this simple quilt to force me to practice my quilting.
And I did!
I really do like how it turned out. Each block of the quilt had different quilting inspired by the small square of main fabric. My favorite is the wood grain!
I also learned I really don’t like doing bubbles.
This FREE copy contains only one size, but you can easily make it larger or smaller by increasing or decreasing the number of blocks you make.
So head over to my shop and download your FREE copy of Doodle and have fun Doodling on your quilt!
Awesome quilt! Just love the colors and the design!…and I can see all the hours of work that have gone into the pattern! Love modern quilts!!
Thanks Linda!
