I designed this pillow for Pretty Patches magazine (UK), based off of a previous pillow I made (which you can see here). They are both slightly different in layout and design, but the basic blocks are the same.
The fabric for this pillow was from Lotta Jansdotter’s Mormor line. I love the hand printed look of some of them and the thin white lines scribbling over the others. I used four FQs for the top. The back has an envelope closure.
This pillow reminds me of the sun and clouds in a blue sky – I think perhaps I’m tired of this cloudy sunless MN winter. 😉
The quilting is very minimal on this pillow and I love it. It’s quite fun and there’s no real plan when I start.
The back is a simple envelope closure. I used a little bit of Kona on the back.
You can find the tutorial for this pillow in the March 2015 issue of Pretty Patches (UK).
Love the color combination/fabrics, and the design! Just beautiful!
Love it and love the yellow. Great job!!
Very pretty pillow. I also like your Rainbow Dreams pillow. Where can I download the pdf pattern for Rainbow Dreams pillow? Thank you
