I have started knitting a lot since last winter. And when I say a lot, I do mean A LOT. Most of it still has ends needed to be woven in and to be blocked, but I am really looking forward to wearing them this fall and winter (and still blogging about them all).
This is the popular Honey Cowl designed by Antonia Shankland for Madelinetosh. It has a simple slip stitch pattern that knits up quickly and looks beautiful.
I knitted this one in an undyed Alpaca yarn from. (I wish I remembered the brand but I just don’t remember). It was a dream to knit with and I was a little bit sad when I was done. It is one of my most favorite items I’ve ever knitted – especially when I wear it. It is so soft and I absolutely love that it is undyed. This is the in-between size listed. I would like to make a long version this winter, but I’ll have to think about the color for a while…..
It was really fun taking pictures of my finished cowl on this giant hosta in my yard! It was planted long before we moved into this house. I keep thinking I should take cuttings and propagate new plants for more around the yard. We have a lot of hosta in our back yard, but none as large as this one.
